About me
Most women reach a time in their life when they decide it’s time to grow their hair out long. For me, that happened about 10 years ago, and it’s been growing ever since. I’m in my mid-30s now, with two small children, and no, I don’t intend to cut it.
These days you just don’t see many older women with longer hair. Most moms I know have short hair because it’s easier to cope with around young children. If I need to keep my hair out of my way, I braid it. It’s just that simple.
My husband loves how long my hair is. That, to me, is another good reason not to cut it.
Caring for my long hair can be a bit of extra work, but I really don’t mind. I’m fortunate in that my hair does not tangle too badly. I have a decided fondness for hair accessories these days, although it’s really hard to find good ones that aren’t too young looking. I don’t need to look like a teenager, after all.
